Flurry was an Earth Pony and member of the Earth Pony tribe during the Long Winter before the Founding of Equestria. As times grew more and more desperate, her tribe became more self-centered and refused to share their dwindling food with others. Eventually, her tribe eventually ran out of food. Soon, Chancellor Puddinghead had a meeting with the other leaders of the tribes, Chief Thunderhoof and Princess Platinum.
After the friendship felt by Clover the Clever, Smart Cookie and Private Pansy was warm enough to defeat the Windigos and melt the snow in Equestria, Flurry presumably went about her life in harmony.
She appeared to be friends with Amaranthine, Dry Wheat, Soot Stain and Frosty Grey.
In the play, the Founding of Equestria, she was played by "Ruth".

While this is most likely just an oversight or a failure to plan ahead (something this show is notorious about), looking at it from an in-universe stand point can lead to some interesting possibilities, such as:

- Equestria is much older than these cultures and influenced them.
- The prop designer for the play didn't understand Equestria's own culture very well.

Naming
"Flurry" is a fan given name, it was decided as it sounded like "Snow Plow".
