Salina Blue (called Salina Sparkle by some sources) is a Hippogriff turned Seapony, along with her friend, Haven Bay. The two are part of the Hippogriff Royal Guards, and at times serve as escorts for Queen Novo.
History
Before the horrific Storm Wars, Salina Sparkle was a Hippogriff who lived at Mount Aris but was forced to retreat undersea into Seaquestria after the Storm King invaded. Using the power of the Pearl of Transformation, she was capable of turning from a Hippogriff into a Seapony. She later met the Mane Six and Spike when they visited Seaquestria, and afterwards traveled to Canterlot in Hippogriff form alongside Haven Bay and Queen Novo.
Personality and traits
Salina Blue was happy with living in Seaquestria, but missed the above world.[1] She was the one who suggested Skystar name her shells.[2]
Family
Salina Blue and Haven Bay were the sisters of Princess Skystar in an older version of the films script, making them members of the Hippogriff royal family in that canon.

Salina Blue is actually the seapony that suggested Princess Skystar start naming her seashell friends. And the rest is history...
