Little Cheese was the son of Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich.

He seemed to be a very playful, cheerful, friendly and energetic child who loved to play and cuddle with his mother and her friends, as seen when he played with Spike. His relationship was most likely similar with his father, though they weren't seen as interacting as much. Pinkie apparently had trouble finding a foalsitter for him, as she wanted one with a strong sense of humor.

He also had a friendly, sibling-like relationship with the Cake Twins, no doubt due to Pinkie Pie's already familial-like relationship with the two.

Little Cheese is a playable character in the mobile game, under the name "Lil Cheese". The game's description of the character refers to them as a filly.

Behind the scenes

Little Cheese was the only known child born by a member of the the Mane Six, and one of the only known characters born in the Era of Princess Twilight, with the other being Big Sugar.

Even though he has a recolored version of Pinkie Pie's animation model when she was a filly (as seen in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles"), he was referred as a boy by various crew members. From an in-universe perspective it's unclear if he's transgender, but from a production point of view, this was most likely done due to him not being properly gendered in the script, and so the animators didn't have much of a basis to work off of.
