Pop Fly often found himself in trouble, by both his teachers and relatives, specifically his mother and grandmother, often playing pranks or acting up. This ultimately culminated in him getting coal from Santa Claus on Christmas. The following year, Pop Fly tried to do better, first in hopes of just getting a reward, but soon grew into a better, more polite kid in general.
After decades, Pop Fly was seen either still living in Ponyville or visiting the town.[1]
Relatives
Pop Fly helped his mother with the laundry and appeared to be close with his grandmother.
Behind the scenes
Officially, Pop Fly only appears in the song "Last Year I Got Coal for Christmas", written by Daniel Ingram. Many fans identified the character "First Base" to likely being Pop Fly. Additionally, some fans have speculated he may be a younger relative of Flash Sentry due to their similar appearances and same voice actor.
