"Did that dog just talk? Whoa. Weird." |
Brawly Beats is a student at Canterlot High School and member of Flash Drive, alongside Ringo and Flash himself.
History
Brawly Beats didn't interact much with Twilight Sparkle or the surrounding conspiracy regarding her campaign to become the Fall Formal Princess, but did attend the Fall Formal and was only really freaked out by Spike being able to talk, shrugging off the demons and magic.[1]
Brawly was among the students who was under the Dazzlings spells and became extremely aggressive and rude because of it. He played in "Flash Drive" during the Battle of the Bands event and together, his band went quite far, but didn't make it to the finals.[2]
Relationships
Flash Sentry
As with the other members of Flash Drive, he seems to care deeply for Flash Sentry.
Personal life
Brawly Beats is a member of "Flash Drive", a band founded by Flash Sentry, with the third member being Ringo. Brawly plays drums in the band. Like Flash, Brawly seems like a friendly guy but even he was cast under the spell of the Dazzlings, causing his personality to change rapidly.

Naming
"Brawly Beats" is a fan-given nickname. The name "Brawly" may come from his resemblance to the character Brawly from the third generation of Pokemon (the "Hoenn" generation). Both characters have a similar skin tone and shade of blue hair.
Trivia
Brawly is notable for being one of the few Equestria Girls who hasn't played a major role in any film, or been based off any existing character to receive a speaking line. The other known ones are Micro Chips, Sandalwood and Scott Green, with the former two becoming some of the most recurring characters in the series on the whole (and both have even played major roles in animated shorts).
