Big McIntosh was a graduate student of Canterlot High School and a member of the Wondertones.
History[edit]
Big McIntosh was the oldest sibling of the Apple family as well as the only son. He seemed to be a caring, helpful big brother, letting Apple Bloom ride on his shoulders and helped Applejack with her fund-raising projects, as well as a very supportive grandson to Granny Smith, offering her support and helping her during Christmas. He appeared to be good friends with Snips, Snails and Trixie Lulamoon and plays tabletop games with them in the Role-playing club at C.H.S.
He was good friends with Cheerilee and hung out with her at a fair.[citation needed]
Big McIntosh was a geek at heart who loved to role-play, role-playing as a Dark Knight named Sir McBiggun.
Personality[edit]
Big Mac lives at Sweet Apple Acres as the oldest brother to Applejack and Apple Bloom. Although he rarely talks, Mac is shown to be a gentle and kind soul who loves his sisters dearly. He loves to spend time with Apple Bloom and her friends, occasionally letting her ride on his shoulders and even plays with her friends. Mac is good friends with Apple Blooms friends, especially Snips and Snails. Despite his rugged and rustic nature, Mac is also a geek in his own right and role-plays with Snips, Snails and Trixie Lulamoon in the Ogres and Oubliettes club. Despite his kind nature, he's also honest to a fault and didn't hesitate to tell Applejack that she sounded terrible in her band rehearsal.
Although very good-natured, Big McIntosh has at times found himself at wits end due to his sisters antics, such as when Applejack had him bring an entire coop of chickens to school to help Fluttershy.[1] Mac is a very warm-hearted and kind person who believes that family isn't necessarily defined by blood lines, but by love and willingly accepted Sunset Shimmer and the other girls into his family.[2] Mac seems to play the older-brother figure to those younger than him, such as the Canterlot Movie Club, Snips, Snails and even Sunset Shimmer, always showing them warmth and kindness.
Sometimes, he's shown to have a pretty silly sense of humor, but this rarely comes out.
