Bon Bon was a young woman who lived in Canterlot and attended Canterlot High School. She was best friends with Lyra Heartstrings.

History

She and Lyra did everything together in the past, such as going to a theme park in 8th grade. Despite their close friendship, they were also quite competitive with each other and bitterly competed for a spot in the Friendship Games team, by dancing, through feats of physical strength and eventually, aggressively acting at each other.[1]

Abilities

Bon Bon has been shown to be extremely physically strong, capable of performing feats such as tossing a log and defeating Bulk Biceps in a arm-wrestling match. She was also shown to be very nimble and acrobatic, able to leap great distances and have great control of herself in the air. She is also quite the artist; as she displayed a talent of dancing, illusionism, cosplay and sculpting.[1]

Bon Bon first appeared in Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks and made her first major debut in the short, All's Fair in Love & Friendship Games. It's unclear if this version of Bon Bon is in a same-gender relationship like her Friendship is Magic counterpart. Several pieces of Equestria Girls media however, seemed to hint that the the two being in a relationship, such as having the two in romantic or 'couple' spots or situations together. The two were sometimes put alongside Wiz Kid and Curly Winds, two other characters hinted at being in a gay relationship.

Toys

Bon Bon appears in two toylines, Rainbow Rocks and Legend of Everfree. In both toylines, her name is rendered as 'Sweetie Drops'.
