Personal life
Spike lives in Twilight Sparkle's house. He appears to be romantically interested with a robot dog built by Twilight Sparkle to be his companion.[1]

Personality
Spike is a very good boy. He's a loyal, upbeat, brave dog who loves his master and friends dearly. Like all good dogs, Spike is protective of his owner, trying to fend off things he perceives as a threat (which usually aren't) and loves to chase around other animals. Despite being capable of talking and understanding Human language, Spike doesn't seem much more intelligent than typical dogs and still thinks very much like a typical dog.
