When he did attack, Applejack-san tried to stop him herself, but failed miserbly. She eventually managed to convince Twilight-san that her destiny was to defeat the dragon, but Twilight-san herself failed, even after becoming Magical Pony. Eventually with the help of the others, they stood a chance, but Discord got rid of the manga world before they could win.
