Cantertine, also known as Canterine[1], was a town near the Crystal Mountains, roughly in east-central Equestria.
History
The Gentle Pilot took Rarity and Maud Pie to Cantertine as he had to go there to pick up a floatstone. While in the town, they found a rickety hay-cart which took them to the Crystal Mountains.

Local Rocks
Local Rocks is a small shop located in Cantertine, Equestria that sells rocks. Maud Pie was interested in the store.
Behind the scenes
Cantertine was first mentioned in Friendship is Magic issue 37. In that issue it was spelled Canterine, and was meant to parody Dantooine from the Star Wars franchise. Ted Anderson, who wrote Friends Forever issue 29, included Cantertine in a nod to the moment from Siege of the Crystal Empire due in part to his friendship with writer Jeremy Whitley.[2]
