Griffons are a species of feline/avian hybrid who reside primarily in Griffonstone on the Griffon continent, though some have been seen to settle in Equestria.

History

Biology

Griffons typically have the bodies of lions or other large cats, complete with legs, back paws, and tails. However, their heads are those of large birds of prey, and their front legs typically end in talons. Griffons also sport large bird wings emerging from their shoulders. Griffons also seem to possess magic similar to that of Pegasi, as they share their ability to stand on clouds as though they were solid ground.
