Cattle
Cattle are a species of bovine known to inhabit Equestria; females are called Cows, while males are called Bulls. Like Sheep they have been shown to be capable of speaking Ponish, and some also appear to have been partly or wholly domesticated, or else befriended, by Ponies.
Biology[edit]
Both male and female cattle have two horns sticking out from the sides of their heads. Cows are typically stouter, and have udders on their undersides which produce milk; this is meant for them to feed calves, though ponies have been known to extract the milk as well.
Abilities[edit]
Bulls tend to be more muscular, but all cows possess great strength that can make them dangerous when they stampede either from fear or with malicious intent.
In Friendship is Magic - "Not Asking for Trouble", Pinkie Pie described cows with magical abilities similar to those of Unicorns, but this was a fictional story meant to convince the Yaks to ask the Ponies of Ponyville for help.
