My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, often abbreviated to FIM is the third My Little Pony television series and by far the longest running one, with nine televised seasons and 222 episodes. Friendship is Magic draws heavily from previous shows, My Little Pony and Tales to create an interesting atmosphere and universe. Like My Little Pony, it is a fantasy-adventure show, taking place in a whimsical kingdom known as Equestria, and like Tales, it has a strong emphasis on slice-of-life stories. The show follows the life and adventures of Twilight Sparkle and her closest friends, the Mane Six, Spike, and the Royal Family of Equestria.
