Kelly Sheridan (May 19, 1977) is a Canadian voice actress of many, many different shows. Sheridan first got involved in My Little Pony in 1992 as the voice of Melody, one of the primary characters of My Little Pony Tales. She would appear again in various Generation 3 films, portraying Cotton Candy and Coconut Grove from 2005 to 2006 and became the main voice of Cheerilee from 2008 to 2009.
Her most iconic role in the franchise however, was the villain-turned-hero Starlight Glimmer, whom she first portrayed in 2015 and appeared as her in every one of her subsequent speaking roles. She has also portrayed Indigo Zap, Lavender Bloom, Misty Fly and Sassy Saddles, among other bit roles.
Sheridan began voice acting at the age of 13 when a play she appeared in was scouted by a talent agent. She has claimed that Friendship is Magic was among the cleanest and most well ran productions she's worked on. In an interview at BABScon, Sheridan admitted that the core difference between working on other productions and My Little Pony is the fandom -- that the idea that any line she says could become a meme or in-joke made her happy. She also admitted that she likes going to conventions to interact with fans.[1] As of 2022, she still attends fan conventions.
In the 90s to early 2000s, Sheridan appeared in many anime, such as Ranma ½, Mega Man, Cardcaptors, Zoids, Inuyasha, Powerpuff Girls Z and Beyblade Burst and western titles such as the Barbie franchise, Krypto the Superdog and more.
