The Canterlot Train Station was a station in Canterlot. The station was connected to the Friendship Express, which connected more or less all of Equestria and parts of the Frozen North. In particular, the train was connected to Ponyville through the Canterlot Express. Many residents of Equestria used the station to travel to and from Canterlot.

History

Era of Harmony

The Mane Six first used the station to travel to the Canterlot Theater in order to perform the Founding of Equestria, a play that, like its name suggested, was about the founding of Equestria.

Much later, the Mane Six traveled to the station to look for Applejack, who previous attended at the Equestria Rodeo competition. While they were there, Daisy, Cherry Berry, Shoeshine and White Lightning were also there.

Sometime after, Pinkie Pie and co were tasked with transporting the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness to Canterlot via the Canterlot station.

Only hours prior to the first Changeling war, Twilight and co took the Friendship Express to Canterlot via the station in order to attend her brother, Shining Armor's wedding with Princess Cadance.

After the return of Sombra, Twilight was tasked with a test in Canterlot, Twilight met up with her friends at the Canterlot station in order to travel to the Crystal Empire, which had mysteriously just returned.

Shortly becoming princess, Twilight had to stay in Canterlot as apart of her coronation ceremony and said goodbye to her friends at the station.

Much later, the Mane Six traveled to the station in order to visit the opening of the Canterlot Boutique, Rarity's second location in her budding empire.

During the holiday season, the station puts out filly's books for the kids to enjoy.

During a blizzard, Twilight Sparkle and Spike were trapped inside the station after coming back from their parents' house. Though Twilight packed the book Lord of the Reigns in case of an emergency, she forgot her book at her folks' house and was as such, bookless. They read through books at the Coffee Stand an eventually fell asleep in each others arms. Cuppa Joe, the worker their, decided to throw them a party for the holidays, since they had no one. Soon however, they were tracked down by the rest of the Mane Six who threw them a proper party.

After Princess Luna and Twilight Sparkle failed to save Discord from Accord by diving into his mindspace, they became possessed by Accord and cornered the remaining Canterlot residents, Mane Six and Princess Celestia at the station, though they managed to escape and travel to Ponyville.

Twilight Sparkle, who was possessed, again, this time by Cosmos and Applejack, who was considerably less possessed took a ride on the train to Canterlot in order to uncover any info on the Star of Cosmos.

The station was located near Track 12 and Track 18.

• Two out of its three appearances in the comics involve Twilight Sparkle getting possessed by the villain of the week. In this case, Accord and Cosmos respectively.
