The Crystal Empire is a small kingdom located in the Frozen Wastes of Northern Equestria. It's unclear if the empire is actually apart of Equestria, a separate entity or whatever the case. Traditionally, the land has been ruled by the Amore family.
History[edit]
The empire was founded well over 1,000 years before the Mare of the Moon incident. In its early days, the kingdom was far more advanced than Equestria was. While Equestria was a fledgling kingdom developing cities, the Crystal Empire had advanced infrastructure, civil services and even anime series, such as Attack on Titan, which was quite popular with the youth such as Sombra and Radiant Hope. In these years, the kingdom took in the Umbrum foal, Sombra, who eventually overthrew the kingdom and hurled it into a reign of 1,000 years of darkness and unchanging time.[1]
The earliest known rulers of the Crystal Empire were of the Amore Dynasty. Though never confirmed, it was heavily implied that Radiant Hope was to be the next ruling princess after Princess Amore, but she lost her chance when Sombra took over the kingdom. After Sombra's reign, Princess Cadance and her husband, Shining Armor took over. It's unknown who, if anyone, ruled after them.
