'''Cattle''' are a species of bovine known to inhabit [[Equestria]]; females are called '''Cows''', while males are called '''Bulls'''. Like [[Sheep]] they have been shown to be capable of speaking [[Ponish]], and some also appear to have been partly or wholly domesticated, or else befriended, by {{FIM|Ponies}}.

==Biology==
Both male and female cattle have two horns sticking out from the sides of their heads. Cows are typically stouter, and have udders on their undersides which produce milk; this is meant for them to feed calves, though ponies have been known to extract the milk as well.

==Abilities==
Bulls tend to be more muscular, but all cows possess great strength that can make them dangerous when they stampede either from fear or with malicious intent.

In {{CAR|FIM|Not Asking for Trouble}}, Pinkie Pie described cows with magical abilities similar to those of {{FIM|Unicorn}}s, but this was a fictional story meant to convince the [[Yak]]s to ask the Ponies of [[Ponyville]] for help.
