William Shatner (March 22, 1931) is an Emmy-award winning Canadian from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He portrayed Grand Pear in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

His character, James T. Kirk, has actually appeared in the Friendship is Magic comic book by IDW Publishing, as a minor cameo figure in Friendship is Magic #10 next to Spock. Furthermore, Rainbow Dash and Spike cosplayed as Kirk in Bookworms and The Good, The Bad and the Pony respectively. Also, Tiberius is named after Kirk's middle name.
