The Great Valley River is a massive, continent-spanning river located in Equestria that stretches from the North Luna Ocean to the Celestial Sea and several cities and landmarks in between. The river has several sub-rivers that branch off of it, such as the Autumn Run River and the Sunny River, with several others. In addition, several lakes spawned from it, such as the Tranquility Lake, Sparkling Lake and Marigold Lake.
History
Throughout history, a handful of bridges were built over the lake, such as Canterlot bridge and the Autumn Run arch, but others were built over other sections of the river over various places. Some of the rivers and lakes it produced have some cultural significance in their communities, such as Marigold Lake being a place where ice skating is popular.
