The Great and Powerful Twily was a unicorn mare and counterpart of Twilight Sparkle who either visited or was native to Eris' dimension.
History
Much of the history of this particular version of Twilight Sparkle is unknown; however, unlike her Equestrian counterpart, she seems to have pursued an interest in stage magic rather than actual magic. As a result, she came to resemble-both in personality and attire choice-the Trixie Lulamoon of Equestria, rather than the Princess Trixie with whom she was familiar. Twily eventually made her way to Princess Eris' castle, where she performed her act for the various interdimensional patrons. During one show, she was about to start sawing Spike in half when the Trixie of Equestria confronted her, moved to rage by the idea of a Twilight Sparkle who was also a stage magician.
After some brief bickering concerning their similar stage names, Twily and Trixie engaged in a stage magic duel, casting amazing magical bursts. The contest grew to the point where the audience begged for an end to it, while both Twily and Trixie's repertoires of spells were all but spent. However, Trixie then cast a magical pinwheel, which the exhausted Twilight was so in awe of that she passed out on stage. Trixie's victory was short-lived, however, as Princess Eris herself arrived and captured her.
