Lyra Heartstrings (disambiguation)
Lyra Heartstrings is a unicorn character introduced in Generation 4 of My Little Pony, debuting in the pilot episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Curious, sweet-natured, open-minded and excitable, Lyra was one of Twilight's old friends at Princess Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns, though the two never grew very close. Still, around the same time as the would-be princess, she too moved from Canterlot to Ponyville. In the human continuities, she is a student at Canterlot High School, in all continuities, she is the love interest to Bon Bon, who she cherishes dearly.
Lyra is usually depicted as a musician, though her talent varies from a songstress, harpist or pianist, though it's also entirely possible she's just very, very talented. In general, Lyra has been shown to have a whole suit of hidden talents and abilities, from artistry to physical might.
Probably owing to her cutie mark and her color scheme, Lyra has often been depicted as being "Irish" or "Irish-ish", which of course means many art has her dress up Irish clothes and drink lots and lots of beer apple cider.
