Carousel Boutique was an abandoned boutique founded in Ponyville.
History
The places foundation and early history up until the day of the Mare of the Moon was likely the same, though as none of the Mane Six aside from Applejack lived in Ponyville, its history from that point onward to the return of Sombra was likely quite different.
The shop was soon abandoned during the Equestria-Crystal Empire war as Rarity moved to Manehattan to help with the war effort by designing uniforms for the military.
When Spike discovered the place in ruins, he desperately tried to claw his way in to make sure Rarity was okay and nearly cried when he realized she wasn't there.
