Helia the "Marathon Mare" is a pegasus mare who lives in Ponyville, Equestria (or in the Crystal Empire in the Gameloft continuity). An extremely hardworker by nature, Helia has impressed many of her peers with her stamina, integrity and skills as a flier.

History

Era of Harmony

Helia was one of the pegasi in the Ponyville who helped to create a tornado strong enough to create a rainy season in Cloudsdale. During this event, she often hung with her friends, Parasol and Thunderlane. She was blown away by Rainbow Dash's insane speeds and tended to take pride in her job, cheering on whenever her fellow pegasi did good work.

She hung out with Bright Smile and watched joust match between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

Helia appeared in Twilight's corner during the magic duel between Twilight and Trixie Lulamoon.

During the Apple Family Reunion, she listened to "Raise This Barn" by Fiddly Twang and other musicians.

Era of Twilight

Helia was apart of the Ponyville Equestria Games team along with her friends Parasol and Thunderlane and a handful of other pegasi. She trained with her teammates on the Ponyville Express and compete with them in the actual event. There, she watched Spike save the stadium from a falling ice-cloud.

Her magic was drained by Tirek, but returned to her by Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

She flew around Ponyville around the time the Dazzlings were taking over Canterlot High School

She took a tour of the Rainbow Factory.

She attended the Wedding of Cranky Doodle Donkey and Matilda and was stationed on a balcony with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Big McIntosh, Daisy Jo, Cloudkicker, Zecora, Pipsqeak and Truffle Shuffle.

She was at the Ponyville Coloratura concert.

With the help of Cloudkicker and Cherry Berry, she helped decorate a Hearths Warming Tree. Later, she helped decorate the Castle of Friendship for the holiday

When Dragon Lord Ember came to Ponyville, she and Cheerilee were surprised to see her, though was frightened and ran off when the dragon lord breathed fire into the air.

During the next holiday, she visited Rainbow Falls to buy gifts and bought a hot drink from Roma in her store. A bit later, she was crowding around the Holly the Hearth's Warmer Doll booth when a disguised Flim and Flam were selling Holly the Hearth's Warmer Doll toys.

Undated events

Thunderlane once saw her fly for five hours straight without breaking a sweat or stopping to take a break.

Secondary canon

At some point, Helia may have brought a house in the Crystal Empire called the Sugilite Home.

Personality

Helia is a friendly, hardworking and ludicrously athletic pegasi. She's not that brave however and ran away when Ember breathed fire into the air.

Behind the scenes

Helia first appeared in "Hurricane Fluttershy" and is featured in one CCG card (The Crystal Games #64 "Helia, Marathon Mare"). Her only known voice actress thus far is Kelly Metzger.

Design

Helia and Blossomforth use the same model, with different colors. Older pieces of merchandise used a recolor of Rainbow Dash has her design. She has a blond mane, blue coat and yellow eyes with three freckles on her cheek.
