I was gonna keep it up for a week, so I'll take it down around May 3rd. Might design a new one for pride month with other characters as to not wear this one out--Amelia (talk) 22:19, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
Re: Just curious
Yeah, sorry! I've been so frazzled and busy with real-life stuff that it kept slipping my mind and I honestly didn't even realize the month ended until I saw 4th of July talk, lol. Anyway, logo is back to Twilight. Might take awhile for the site to fully go back to it though, due to weird cache stuff. Thanks for the notice!--Amelia (talk) 12:21, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
Since the message wasn't at the bottom of my talk page, I didn't see it and assumed the notification was a bug, sorry about that. Considering both Monobook and Vector have broken with recent MW updates, I'll probably revamp the sites' look with a new skin, color scheme, logo, etc with a Gen 5 theme. I'll do my best to make sure the current skins stay the same however.--Amelia (talk) 13:19, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
- I spent the morning working on a new color scheme and skin based off Generation 5. As much as I would like to keep Monobook or Vector as our primary skin, I could not figure out how to fix them after MediaWiki updates that our host performs, so for now I'm considering switching to a more stable skin and ultimately may use Vector 2022. Anyway, I would like your thoughts on it.--Amelia (talk) 18:46, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
I noticed you've been filling out the 'forms of' pages, great work! Though it got me to thinking about the changelings being added there. Changelings are technically their own characters, but they don't really have enough information to warrant their own pages individually (usually) so maybe a 'List of changelings by character' or perhaps a more general 'Changeling transformations' page to have all their information in one place. Thoughts?--Amelia (talk) 00:13, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
Thanks! There are defiantly kinks being worked out as we speak, like trying to fix infobox categorization system without causing as much strain, navboxes, pop-ups, and some minor low priority stuff. IRL obligations, health concerns and my laptop dying have all made the process slower...but not dead! This is, on the bright side, hopefully the final time we ever need to do something like this, at least for the foreseeable future.
I'm seeing this as somewhat as a '4th Rebirth' of the wiki. I've been trying to streamline a lot of processes, better organizing things, having higher standards for articles and making sure there's more design unity, basically just trying to improve every facet of the wiki. It's gonna be a slow process, but I think it's going to be worth it in the end.--Amelia (talk) 14:53, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- I'll be leaving on a Christmas Eve family reunion soon so I'll either fix those mistakes when I get back or tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas Eve by the way!--Amelia (talk) 14:22, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi Emerald! It really has.
Your suggestion does make sense, especially with recentish updates to MediaWiki that means redirects don't appear in the search bar. Might also be better with SEO, which not something I want to necessarily prioritize but it's nice when it comes up. I guess before we begin, we should compile a list of articles that need to be moved for this reason. While Iron Wil (Reflections) deserves an article, "Shoeshine (Changelingverse)" may not for example.
As for the links and clean up regarding them, that has been a long time coming. Lots of especially old articles will still link to Twilight Sparkle when they should link to Twilight Sparkle (Friendship is Magic) for example. Links to Ponyville are probably the worst with that. The actual moving of pages however will not take too long, thanks to the use of external tools such as AutowikiBrowser making renaming an deleting a cinch. Likewise, articles like Sombraverse Maud Pie absolutely need to be renamed to Maud Pie (Sombraverse)]] given that due to the aforementioned redirect change.
Alright, I'll post a comment on their wall. We should probably define our canon policy a bit better though since afaik it's not really written in words. That said, I do think there is a better way to handle's Sombra's messy history. Obviously just deleting it all is not the way to go about it, but having a ton of notices and templates may not be the correct way either.--Amelia (talk) 21:58, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
Hey, I meant to send you this earlier. I appreciate the infobox clean ups, and if you want, I can take it from here. I have admin tools that should make the job much quicker; I know I should've employed them earlier but IRL stuff kept coming up but I'm free to do them now.--Amelia (talk) 17:04, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
