Growing up as a poor nobody in the city of Panthera, Capper was a prolific petty thief, always stealing fish and other foods just to survive and running from the law, but did so joyfully. However, his life changed when the city was sacked by the Storm King. Naturally lucky, Capper managed to escape the destruction of his city by hitching a ride in an Airship; the Prism Wing with his buddy, Chummer. Together, the two briefly joined the Pirates of Sky and Sea under Captain Celaeno but were lost in their battle with the Storm King. In the aftermath, Capper and Chummer found themselves in the vast Dry Bones Desert, where they eventually came across the broken city of Klugetown, where they made a new life.

Capper was the more passive and gentle of the two. Though still a proud thief, his illegal acts tended to stop there, while Chummer had a thirst for power and violent nature that drove him to his ultimate fate. Capper would eventually become one of the biggest names in Klugetown, but was also known as the closest thing to a good guy in the entire town, often helping others out - for a price, that is. After his brush with the kindness of Rarity, Capper began to rethink his life choices and began to act in a more selfless and even heroic manner. After aiding in the Battle for Canterlot, Capper remained shady as ever, but also went legit and began to work as a motivational speaker. It was during this period of his life that Capper was requested to perform the biggest heist of his life; to steal from Princess Eris, the lord of Chaos.

Early life and Siege of Panthera

Chummer's adventures in Panthera

Capper was an orphan, presumably without a house, as he grew up in Panthera, the capital city of Abyssinia. Growing up, Capper would routinely steal from markets and booths with his best friend at the time, Chummer. The two would go on a variety of adventures with one another and seemed inseparable. Over time, it was revealed that Capper had a much stronger moral compass that Chummer, but this never seemed to come up in their days together.

During the Siege of Panthera, Capper and Chummer both took up refuge in an airship used by the Storm Army. During a battle between the army and the Knife's Edge crew, the two cats came in contact and befriended the pirates, though as the ship crashed in the battle, they found themselves in the Bone Dry Desert in the Badlands, where they eventualy came across Klugetown
