The Unicorn of Odd #1 is the first issue in My Little Pony: Classics Reimagined—The Unicorn of Odd. It adapts the story of The Wizard of Oz until Dorothy meets the Scarecrow.

Story

Dorothy, a young Earth Pony farmer is caught in a raging tornado when she couldn't save her dog, Toto, in time. Instead of getting crushed by the wind, she was instead transported to the magical land of Odd, in the process, 'smushing' the Wicked Princess of the East. The strange citizens of Odd, known as the Breezies, praise her though Dorothy confused and a little disturbed by the potential act of murder she just caused tries to save the Wicked Princess of the East. She was soon confronted by the Good Princess of the North, who informed her of the Unicorn of Odd, a powerful magic user who was even stronger than the princesses.

Wanting to go home, Dorothy began an adventure to meet the Unicorn of Odd, being told only he could get her out of Odd. Along the way, she comes across a sentient scarecrow stuck to a pole. The scarecrow told her how she didn't like scaring away birds and how she wanted to get off the pole and get a brain, as she only had straw in her head. With Dorothy's help, the scarecrow joins her in her quest to find the Unicorn of Odd.
