Heather Breckel (October 10, 1984) is a comic book colorist who has worked for every major publication and several minor ones. She has been among the most consistent recurring staff members for My Little Pony comics, doing the coloring for countless issues across most titles since the very beginning. Breckel stated that she was a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic since the 'tail end' of season 1.[1] As of Generation 5, she has still provided the colors for several issues.

Prior to her work on My Little Pony, Breckel made a name for herself as a colorist for the covers of Godzilla: The Half-Century War and issues of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both by IDW.[2] Currently, beyond My Little Pony, she appears to be best known for her work on Sonic the Hedgehog, which she drew fan-comics of as a kid.[1] Breckel was educated at the Columbus College of Art, which she described as 'great' but 'tough', remarking that she went through many roommates during her stay.[1]

As of October 2022, Breckel has been credited in over 400 comic issues, nearly half of which are My Little Pony comics.[3] Breckel has her own ponysona, who is often depicted as a hot-tempered, 'hardcore' pony who yells a lot, which seems to be based off her original character, Angie.
