"Spike's robot friend" is a robot created by Twilight Sparkle to be a companion for Spike.

History

Twilight initially based the programming of the dog off of other dogs owned by other people, which constantly resulted in failure. However, when the programming used her love for Timber Spruce as a basis instead, the process went by perfectly and the dog was created. After walking out of her container, she snuggled her head against Spike's and the two instantly became close.

Later, Twilight would showcase the robot at the Science club at CHS.
