Equestria Girls: Better Together, sometimes referred to as Digital Series or even YouTube Series is a series of short episodes set in the Equestria Girls universe, usually following one or more of the Human Seven or other closely affiliated characters. Unlike the other series of shorts, Equestria Girls: Summertime Shorts, the production values for Better Together are impressive, with full voice-acting and new backdrops, among other assets.
As its alternative names may imply, the series is freely available in YouTube on Hasbro's official YouTube channel. For the most part, the shorts are released in multiple languages such as English, Spanish (Latin American), German and Russian
The series is apart of "Equestria Girls Season 1", a collection of series of Equestria Girls shorts to help explore the world and characters in more bite-sized ways.
Synopsis
Better Together is a series of slice-of-life shorts that tend to tell short stories about the Equestria Girls universe. Unlike other short series like Canterlot Shorts, the shorts in Better Together are structured more like actual episodes rather than skits. Notably, the shorts actually have continuity with one another and even have "story arcs" which lasts multiple shorts. Another notable aspect of the shorts is the fact that they sometimes introduce characters unique to the Equestria Girls universe and go to new locations rather then reuse assets from the films.
The shorts here are mostly unaffiliated with any particular movie, and instead tell their own pseudo-story arc about the last days of the school year at C.H.S.
