Sword

Asword is a type of weapon, often made of a type of metal posed on a hilt of some kind, typically made of wood or other solid elements, though spear-like swords have been known to be used throughout Northern Equestria. Swords are commonly associated with Pirates and Knights with various pirates such as Hoofbeard and Captain Celaeno sporting their own blades and knights such as King Shining Armor wielding a large blade himself.

History

Swords have been in use since the Age of Heroes, with the Mighty Helm using swords in their battles against Lumber Bears and other monsters that blighted their village. Old Equestrian kingdoms also used swords in their fights against Dragons.
