Whether she be a proud fashionista who always dresses in style or an adventurous tomboy whose always seeking thrills, Rainbow Dash has become a staple in My Little Pony since her earliest appearances in Generation 3. Dash has evolved dramatically as a character, both in a real-world production and in an in-universe sense. At the start of Generation 4, Dash was often times rude, aggressive and arrogant, though over time her more compassionate, caring and heroic side would shine through. Because of her tomboyish nature, free spirit and rainbow color scheme, Dash would also resonate with many real world girls and young women and would become one of the most popular characters in the entire franchise.
