Linda Woolverton (December 19, 1952) is an American screenwriter, playwright and novelist who helped write the screenplay for several big-budget Disney films, such as The Lion King, Maleficent and Beauty and the Beast. In the 1980s, she also wrote for a TV story for My Little Pony.
