"I live in LA and submitted promises to Hasbro in 2011. Meghan got ahold of them and I got a spot in season 3. During a conference call, Meghan told me this idea: "Fluttershy and Discord are roommates." And the whole thing evolved into the episode it is now. I didn't get to follow Meghan's progress on the script, so I don't know what the final version of the episode will be like...but I can garentee you all that it will be awesome!" |
Teddy Antonio is a one-time writer for My Little Pony, the son of prolific television writers Tedd and Patsy Anasti, Antonio was able to get in contact with Hasbro employees and requested to write an episode where "Fluttershy and Discord become roommates". Though he was only 15 at the time, he was brought on as a story outliner for what would become "Keep Calm and Flutter On".[1] Though many people did not believe his claims, much to his expectation, he was officially credited for his work on the show, confirming his story. In another message on his "Intense Debate" page, Antonio mentioned that he was homeschooled, and thus had a lot of time to practice his writing.[2]
