King Thaumus is an Ornithian male and part of the Ornithian royal family. He is thus a bearer of one of the Elements of Love, specifically Protection.
Behind the scenes
Thaumus is named for a mythological Greek god and the father of the harpies.
According to Andy Price, he is modeled on an American bald eagle.[1]
