Iron Pony competitions

An Iron Pony competition is a competition between two ponies in a series of athletic tests to see which is the most worthy of gaining the title, "Iron Pony". It's unknown, though unlikely, if the competitions have any sort of official regulations or rule sets, but seems to be a fairly important aspect of Ponyville culture. During the Era of Harmony, Applejack and Rainbow Dash both competed and though there was no clear winner, Rainbow Dash referred to herself as the "Iron Pony" during "Don't Give Up, Rainbow Dash!".
