Filthy Rich is the father of Diamond Tiara and a successful, but greedy, businessman.

History

At some point several years ago, he had a daughter named Diamond Tiara. Prior to Canterlot High Schools field trip to Camp Everfree, he pressured Gloria Daisy into selling the land to him. When she wouldn't, he kept applying pressure until eventually the deal simply went through the ground. After the ordeal, he attended the camps celebratory party, but was very disgruntled and angry. Afterwards, he was seen at Canerlot Mall with his daughter.

Notes

His character in Equestria Girls is vastly different than his original portrayal. In Friendship is Magic, despite also being a rich businessman, Rich was actually a good guy who tried (but usually failed) to instill decent morals into his daughter and her friend and generally treated other people well enough. However, in Equestria Girls, he's much more ego-centric and villainous.

Family

Filthy Rich is the patriarch of the Equestria Girls incarnation of the Rich family. It's unclear if he's married to Spoiled Rich in this timeline, but nonetheless he's the father of Diamond Tiara.
