Anti-Sugar League
The Anti-Sugar League was a health-advocacy organization that in their inception, had a black-and-white view on sugar consumption, citing its poor affects on ones weight, teeth, and apparently, soul. They were lead by Temperance Flowerdew
History
Friendship is Magic
The league's history is mostly unknown, it's unclear how long they've been marching, but they seemed to travel from town to town in order to outlaw sugar. When they set up base in Ponyville, the drew up enough attention to successfully shut down Sugarcube Corner and caused noticeable financial situations for Sweet Apple Acres within a mere week of protest.
The organization and its leader, Temperance Flowerdew, were not rotten, however, and did sincerely want to improve the health of others. When Twilight Sparkle told them their stance was causing poor affects on the mental health of both their followers and detractors, they eventually learned that some sugar was not so bad for an individual if they balanced it with healthier foods and began to advocate for more healthy diets instead.
