About me
I was born in 1997 on 7 August, born as Jordan. I am a Transgender woman and longtime fan of My Little Pony. While I enjoy the series in all of its incarnations, my favorite series is Equestria Girls for its slightly more grounded setting and far more expressive and memorable background guys. My Little Pony is what ultimately lead me to discover my transexuality, so bonus points. I first got into the series in around 2011-ish when I saw an old PMV and thought the series was soooo cool, but my sister thought it wasn't appropriate for boys so...yeah.
I try to live my life around the simple principal of "be kind, be friendly, be polite and make friends if you can", but I do not tolerate bigotry or hate-speech of any kind. If I see any sort of harassment based off any of that, you're gone. That said, as long as people's views and opinions aren't linked to hate, I try to be respectful, even if it's something I do not understand.
Never feel afraid to shoot me a message or email! While I do not ignore people, sometimes due other obligations or health issues, I cannot reply on-time and sometimes forget, so never hesitate to remind me once every day or so (or even few hours of it's dire).
Outside of My Little Pony, I am a Beatles enthusiast, bird lover, amateur voice actress and an aspiring fiction writer.
Good to see you back! By the by, I seem to recall there being a timeline-I believe it was created by you-that calculated roughly how much time you thought had passed in the series, based on the number of Hearth's Warmings that had occurred between the show and comics. Was that indeed yours, and if so, do you still have it saved somewhere? I searched for it but couldn't find it anywhere.
How's the importing coming along? I'd love to create some more articles but want to make sure I don't preempt anything that's getting moved over from the old site.
Actually, you do make a fair point about that Reflections connection. It's not that I think Celestia is perfect; it's just the idea of her deliberately unleashing a menace seemed a bit much.
I think you've got the right idea about referencing it in behind the scenes. It is essentially a creator stating their opinion about something after the fact; nothing in the show itself indicated that Celestia was responsible during or after Faust's run.
It's not really clunkiness, I would say; it makes sense that Celestia would have raised and lowered the moon as well as the sun during Luna's exile. I just find it a bit off that Celestia would deliberately bring a known menace back into Equestria, even if she knew that the Mane 6 could potentially unlock the Elements of Harmony and redeem Luna. I mean, the impression I get from watching the premiere is that Nightmare Moon's return was unavoidable, and Celestia sending Twilight to Ponyville was her only answer to it. The idea that Celestia CAUSED that return and then just disappeared, leaving Twilight and the others to face it, seems fairly jacked up even if she did have confidence in their ability to succeed.
It also doesn't seem to fit with certain media that came later in the series, or at the very least to cast it in a rather bizarre light. It makes you wonder what happened in the Lunaverse timeline even more; did Celestia do the same thing in that timeline only to have whatever version of the Mane 6 may have existed in that reality fail? It also doesn't fit in with Deviations, although I suppose that could be explained away as whoever wrote that comic being unfamiliar with Faust's plans.
