The Turul of Foal Mountains was a legendary bird who lived in the Foal Mountains.
History
Cheerilee told her class of the Legend of the Turul, a bird larger than any pony and who bore the crown of lands older than Equestria. The Cutie Mark Crusaders, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon all saught to find the Turul, wanting the reward of no homework for a week and ended up getting lost deep in the mountains.[1] Eventually Tiara and Apple Bloom encountered the Turul in person while their friends were asleep. The Turul screeched at them and flew off, waking up their friends though the two fillies claimed they didn't see anything. Later when the foals reached civilization once more, Tiara claimed she was the one who saw the Turul first.[2]
