At some point, he got into a relationship {{IDWFIM|Queen Chrysalis}}. She hated him, claiming no pony but him could love him, but he adored her and called her his snookums. He and his empire were attacked by Chrysalis after he expelled her from the city, with she and the [[Changeling]]s sneaking back in using a wooden horse crafted in his image. Though Trot was quickly saved by {{IDW|PrincessIDWFIMPrincess Celestia}}, though according to a history book, he was never quite the same afterwards.
