Pee Wee

History
As an egg, Pee Wee was to be smashed and killed by Spike during the Dragon raid, but Spike couldn't bring himself to harm such a defenseless thing. With the help and support of his family, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity, Spike and the others managed to get away from Garble and his gang with Pee Wee's egg in hand. Sometime later, presumably that same night, Pee Wee's egg hatched and Spike decided to raise him like a pony.[1] At some later point in his life, Spike decided to give up Pee Wee and tracked down his parents in the forest to reunite them.[2]
Spike and Pee Wee likely kept in touch to some extent after he let Pee Wee free as he said to Rarity that he hasn't seen him in awhile. By the time they met back up, Pee Wee had grown a lot and appeared to be a phoenix equivalent of a teenager. Pee Wee and Spike were still quite close as the two affectionately hugged one another. Pee Wee still lives with his parents, who he seems to get along with well, and who seem to think highly of Spie as well.
Spike would continue to hang out with Pewee as the days went on and the two would grow a strong bond between one another. When Spike helping Rarity pluck phoenix feathers, he tried to spend time with Rarity in Pee Wee's home forest, but the effects of his molting made their time together short.
Personality
Pee Wee was shown to be full of life and loving. He really cared for Spike and vice versa. Although Spike knew giving up Pee Wee was the right choice, he would sometimes regret it.[3] Pee Wee enjoys ice cream.[4]
Abilities
Being a baby Phoenix, the extent of Pee Wee's abilities are currently unknown.
