An Empire is typically defined as a monarchy that expands via conquoring other naton and cultures, whether by force or 'peacefully'. It can also refer to a massive company such as with Rarity's Empire. Empires are ruled by emperors and empresses, although they're sometimes simply referred to as kings and queens respectively.

Notes

• Although the Crystal Empire is called an empire, no actual conquest of other nations is known. Even under Sombra's rule, the city largely kept to itself and didn't appear to expand outward.
