Anon-a-Miss

Anon-a-Miss was a fictional profile created by the Canterlot Movie Club on the Social Media website MyStable. Her overall appearance is obviously modeled after Sunset Shimmer, as her function was to post secret information regarding the Girls in her name.

Subtlety, thy name is Apple Bloom

History

Anon-a-Miss was likely created by Apple Bloom herself. After Applejack rudely denined a chance to talk to Apple Bloom, she created the Anon-a-Miss account and posted Applejack's embarrassing nickname "Piggly Wiggly" all over MyStable. The next day, Apple Bloom informed Applejack of the account and tried to blame Sunset for its creation. An unspecified amount of days alter, the girls had a slumber party over at Rarity's house. There, Rarity lied to force Sweetie Belle out of her room so she couldn't hang out with the girls. Feeling neglected and angry, Sweetie Belle got in contact with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo about the situation.

Later that night, Sweetie Belle stole Sunset's phone and posted all the embarrassing selfies the girls took together at the slumber party, which to many of the students at CHS, including Sunset's friends, that she was in fact Anon-a-Miss.

Now abandoned by her friends and considered a traitor by the rest of the students, Sunset had a tearful breakdown in the middle of school and ran off to try to set things right. Upon realizing how far things went, the Movie Club revealed that they were the creators of Anon-a-Miss as a method of lashing out over all the attention Sunset was getting. Together,each of the girls grew closer due to the whole incident.

Reception and controversy

The "Anon-a-Miss" character is not a very well-liked one in the Friendship is Magic community. Many fans felt that she was a carbon copy of Gabby Gums, only taken to a more extreme and less plausible level while others felt that her presence was simply to depressing for a series that's otherwise fun and upbeat. Several fanfictions have been written about Anon-a-Miss, with her becoming somewhat of a meme on popular fanfiction websites, such as Fimfiction.
