I'm seeing this as somewhat as a '4th Rebirth' of the wiki. I've been trying to streamline a lot of processes, better organizing things, having higher standards for articles and making sure there's more design unity, basically just trying to improve every facet of the wiki. Hi Emerald! It really has.
Your suggestion does make sense, especially with recentish updates to MediaWiki that means redirects don't appear in the search bar. Might also be better with SEO, which not something I want to necessarily prioritize but it's nice when it comes up. I guess before we begin, we should compile a list of articles that need to be moved for this reason. While [[Iron Wil (Reflections)]] deserves an article, "Shoeshine (Changelingverse)" may not for example.
As for the links and clean up regarding them, that has been a long time coming. Lots of especially old articles will still link to [[Twilight Sparkle]] when they should link to [[Twilight Sparkle (Friendship is Magic)]] for example. Links to [[Ponyville]] are probably the worst with that. The actual moving of pages however will not take too long, thanks to the use of external tools such as AutowikiBrowser making renaming an deleting a cinch. Likewise, articles like [[Sombraverse Maud Pie]] absolutely need to be renamed to Maud Pie (Sombraverse)]] given that due to the aforementioned redirect change.

Alright, I'll post a comment on their wall. We should probably define our canon policy a bit better though since afaik it's not really written in words. That said, I do think there is a better way to handle's Sombra's messy history.
