Robert L. Selman, PH.D. (May 7, 1942) is an American educational psychologist and perspective-taking theorist. He served as the educational consultant on My Little Pony as well as other Hasbro properties (most notably as the writer for PSAs on G.I. Joe). He is employed by Harvard University.

He is married to Anne P. Selman and the father of The Simpsons writer and showrunner, Matt Selman.

He was eventually succeeded by Jordan Brown as educational consultant for My Little Pony in 2010, since My Little Pony Tales lacked someone in said position.
