Rising Star
Rising Star was a student at Crystal Prep Academy who was paired up with Twilight Sparkle for the Canter-Crys science fair.

History
Rising Star lived in some unspecified town before moving to Canterlot. He seemed to have been born in an upper-middle class family at least, as he attends the private Crystal Prep Academy. After he got paired with Twilight, Flash Sentry feared he was going to hurt her, but was actually just jealous of him as he still had feelings towards Twilight. Together, he and Twilight finished their project, a machine to help make parties, and they won second place next to Foggy Blue
