Rhea Perlman (March 31, 1948) is an American actress. Perlman rose to prominence by portraying Carla Tortelli on Cheers, in which she was nominated for 11 Emmy Awards for outstanding supporting actress, winning 4. She is the long-time spouse to Danny DeVito and has appeared in many roles alongside him, often as his characters' love interest. Perhaps the most notable of these roles was on Maltilda, where she portrayed his wife.
