The "Dragons Lair"[1] is a section of an island shared by Dragons and Kirin located in the Celestial Sea. It is presumably where the Dragon Lands are located, as it is the only location on the Map of Earth that indicates dragon civilization.
Geography
The lair is a deeply forested lands near by a coastline. In contrast to its southern neighbor, the Kirin Grove, its mountains are brown and rough rather than gray and round. It is located directly south of the Griffon continent.

Retcons
In the original Map of Equestria, there was a small patch in its forest with no trees. In revised editions of the map, such as the one found in Tails of Equestria: The Official Movie Sourcebook, the patch was replaced with a lake.
