'''Curly Winds''' was a student at [[Canterlot High School]] and one of its premeirepremiere [[athlete]]sathletes. However, as is the norm with most athletes at that school who aren't named {{EQG|Rainbow Dash}}, the actual sports he plays are kind of vague.

Curly Winds seemed to spend most of his free time hanging out with his best friend, and possible boyfriend, Wiz Kid. The two have been shown to be very open with their relationship, whether it be platonic or romantic, going as far as to hold hands in public spaces.<ref name = "ROF">''[[Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship]]''</ref> Aside from his vanity caused by his physical build, Curly Winds appears to be friendly and selfless, saving Wiz Kid's life from drowning when they were on the ''[[Lux Deluxe]]''<ref name = "SBD">''[[Equestria Girls: Spring Breakdown]]''</ref> Other than Wiz Kid, his friends seem to include [[Teddy (CHS student)|Teddy]], [[Cloudy Kicks]] and [[Tennis Match]].

Curly and Wiz Kid didn't appear to be friends until {{FIM|Twilight Sparkle}} came to their world and indirectly had the two work together to fix up their gym. Their first known meeting was when Wiz Kid nearly fell off a latter while trying to hook up cameras and Curly helped him by holding his latter in place. Ever since then, the two developed a strong, and most likely romantic friendship.

Curly Winds was introduced in ''[[My Little Pony: Equestria Girls]]'' as a minor background character with superficial personality traits. However, as is the usual for characters in [[Generation 4]] media, Curly Winds grew and developed into a fully fleshed out figure by the end of the series, with his own obvious personality traits and relationships. Though he was never elevated from the status of background character, he had his own character arc going from a stereotypical jock to thea best friend, or possibly more than a friend, to Wiz Kid, a timid nerd.
