Cloris Leachman (April 30, 1926 - January 27, 2021) was an American actress, voice actress and comedian whose career spanned almost eight decades. A winner of many accolades, including eight Primetime Emmy Awards from 22 nominations, Leachman is the most nominated performer in Emmy history. She has also won Academy, BAFTA and Golden Globe awards for her many works
Like Madeline Kahn, Leachman acted in many Mel Books films, such as High Anxiety, Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles. She also appeared in numerous animated features, including Castle in the Sky, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, Ponyo, The Iron Giant and more.
Leachman passed away in 2021 in her sleep at the age of 94.
